Hello!

This is an interesting thought about the Venus Fly Trap!

You probably already know that these plants digest their prey with enzymes that they actually produced themselves. After the many days it takes to thoroughly digest an insect prey, the palms of the trap open up again, and you get to see the undigested remains, often the `husk` of the insect still stuck to the insides of the leaf. This seems to be the only `excrement` produced by the plant.

For more information, check out the Carnivorous Plant FAQ website at: http://www.sarracenia.com

Have fun with your speech!
Evelyn
