Lactic acid is actually a by product of muscle fatigue. It is formed 
naturally in the body as a reult of glucose metabolism (usage).  An excess 
of lactic acid can cause cramps.
Lactose is a sugar obtained from dairy products and absorbed into the 
bloodstream, Lactase,an enzyme found in the small intestine, converts 
lactose into simple sugar (glucose).
