Dear Sonali,
I feel it is good to start dreaming about what one want to become in one's
schooldays, so that the chances that you will perform in that field will be
better. I will suggest you that don't get pressurized by parents to choose
specific field, you can convince them by assertively telling them what you
feel.
I started feeling that I wanted to be a docter a bit later, in my pre med
college days. My parents also thought that I should become docter, but if I
were interested in something else I would have opted for that.
I wanted to understand the way this complex organism works (ie Homo sapiens)
I wondered a lot regarding the way the human body functions. The respect ,money
that docters get was another motivating factor.
I wanted to utilize my knowledge to improve my as well as others health.
I wanted to work on yoga and Ayurveda and integrate these things with
modern medicine.
I wanted to built my muscles and improve my cardiovascular status by
exercising scientifically.
I still dream and wonder regarding what I can do with my knowledge in
medicine.
Its really a good branch.
But it requires hard work more than intelligence.
I feel the one who survives in medical field developes a good emotional
quotient.
I can talk on and on about my field and its advantages.
