We have a small colony of termites that invaded our woodpile recently.
However, on the other side of the pile a colony of ants has sprung up. My
questions are:

1. Are termites and ants enemys? Should I let 'em duke it out then get the
winner? :)

2. What is a natural deterrent to termites, as opposed to using chemicals?

3. How are they affected by cold weather? (It gets below freezing for
about 6 hours each night in the winter where I am)

BTW, these termites look small & white-ish in color. Not much bigger than
the regular red ants.
