I am trying to see how different spices affect bacterial growth for my 
science project. I'm thinking of mixing spices in agar and observing the 
petri dishes. Do I need to add a specific bacteria or can I leave the 
dishes open air?  Do you need a microscope to see the bacteria? Is it okay 
to mix the spices in with the agar?
