I am interested in how the components of the Western Blots work.

For eg. How does the stacker gel work? What does the acrylamide do? What
role does the TEMED, ammonium persulfate, water-saturated n-butanol and
Tris-HCL play in the SDS-Page gel?

Appreciate any further information that will help me understand how these
components of the Western blot work.
