I think you might mean Arthrogryposis.  This a congenital abnormality in 
which fibrous ankylosis of some or all of the limb joints occurs. Fibrous 
Ankylosis is stiffness created by fibrosis of muscle tissue. This is where 
muscle tissue takes on a similarity to scar tissue and therefore becomes 
inflamed losing elastisity, healing ability is also impaired. This is a 
painfull condition which is probably best treated with Steroidal Anti-
inflammatory drugs

Arthrogryposis is also another name for a Tetanus spasm where the central 
nervous system is effected by wound contamination by the soil bacterium 
Clostridium tetani.
