For example: I turn the shower on and the water is warm enough so that I can even see the steam. As you near the shower, the very first few droplets (the fine spray)that hits your skin feel cold. Why does that happen? I have read an explanation for it somewhere before so I DO know that the phenomenon does occur and was trying to understand the logic and physics behind it. Thanks -athar

Re: why do the first few splashes of hot water in the shower feel cold? No message entered. _______________________________________________________________ Greetings - Please provide further specifics. As it stands it would be difficult for us to find an answer to your question. For instance, I've never experienced the sensation you describe--hot water feeling cold under a showering condition--so maybe more detail could help me sort out your question.
