. I would like to know what are "nucleated sites?"
I got a science experience out of a newspaper. It said
that when you put wintergreen lifesavers in a bottle
of cola or rootbeer and put a small hole in the
cap, it would shoot up like a geiser. I tried it
and it worked, but the only explanation the
newspaper gave me was that the carbonation in
the soda activated the nucleated sites on the
lifesaver. So that's why I'd like to
know what are nucleated sites and why did the geiser work?
Thanks! Bye,
Marcus
