I'm doing a Chemistry research project to whether or not there is sugar in >toothpaste, and I need to know what type of Chemical reaction takes place >to make benedicts solution turn red. The similar answer already on your site doesn't help me on my Chemistry project one bit I need to know what Chemical reaction takes place to cause benedicts solution to turn red, not what kinds of sugar it will work for.
