I'm curious about the "cuts" in the treads in the tops of plastic soda
bottles. If you look at the necks of soda bottles they are treaded for the
tops to screw down but those treads on the necks aren't intact. I want to
know why those treads have sections missing and why they only appear on
soda bottles.
