According to my data from
http://edie.cprost.sfu.ca/%7Erhlogan/electchm.html
It is shown that for the two half-reactions:
2Fe(2+) --> 2Fe(3+) + 2e(-)  Ered = -0.77 eV
ClO(-) + H2O + 2e(-) --> Cl(-) + OH (-) Eox = +0.90 eV
Ecell = Ered + Eox = -0.77 + 0.90 = +0.13 eV

deltaG = -n.F.Ecell

if deltaG < 0 the reaction occurs spontaneous under standard conditions.
Because in this case deltaG = -2.96'500.0.13 = -25 J
it is expected that this reaction occurs spontaneously and
therefore CaOCl reacts with Fe(II)SO4

Sincerely,
J. van der Rijt, MSc
