Generally, weapons are developed as needed and as yet no one has been motivated 
to create either 'solar weapons' or weapons on the scale of supernovae.  There 
is a web page on supernovae research at a national laboratory,

but, even in this instance, understanding the physics of supernovae is a far 
more significant motivator than the development of supernovae-scale weapons.
