Funny, I was researching this very same question just recently. After 
formulating an explanation myself, I started searching the internet. I 
found one explanation that was reasonable. It can be found at:

It deals with density difference between the air inside your mouth and 
the spaghetti as well as the cohesion of the spagehtti molecules.
