I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT CAN'T HAVE LARGE HEAVY DUTY
PARACHUTES BUILT INTO THE STRUCTURE OF A PLANE THAT WOULD DEPLOY IN
CASE OF ENGINE PROBLEMS OR SERIOUS LOSS OF ALTITUDE. NASA'S APPOLLO CRAFTS
USED THEM, SO WHY NOT FOR AN AIRLINER? IS IT AN ENGINEERLING ISSUE OR
MONITARY ISSUE?

I looked at the previous answer on your site, but it is not an
accurate reply to my original question. I did not ask why commercial
aircraft do not carry parachuettes for passangers to use. My question asked
why don't commercial aircraft have large parachuttes built into the body of
the aircraft, that would be deployed from the exterior of the craft's body
to safely land the craft and avoid a crash, like what recently occured to
the Alaskan Airliner as well as the Swiss Airline this past summer as well
as all other aircraft that crash from out of the sky.
If my original question was not clear, I apologize. But please tell me how
to get my question accurately understood to be answered correctly by Mad
Scientist.
