muscle cells are different than yeast cells. yeast cells actually ferment 
glucose producing ethanol i.e. in other words it is a totally anaerobic 
series of reactions. muscle cells on the other hand do not carry out any 
anaerobic reactions. only during conditions of stress or fatigue is 
glucose incompletely broken down to lactic acid.  for the actual reactions 
with respect to ATP yield, you can refer to any book on biochemistry - 
Stryer or Lehninger.
