Re: Given soil bulk density, how do I obtain the soil cohesion and adhesion ?

I regret that cohesion and/or adhesion can not be determined from bulk 
density.  These physical properties of soil are more a function of clay 
minerology and clay content and are further influenced by water content.  I 
would suggest that soil texture would be a better place to start.  I refer 
you to general soils textbooks such as Miller and Gardiner, 1998.  Soils in
