"Me" stands for "methyl" (CH3). This sort of shorthand is used a lot in chemistry; in organic chemistry, we not only use "Me" but also "Et" (ethyl, CH3CH2), "Pr" (propyl, CH3CH2CH2), "Bu" (butyl, CH3CH2CH2CH2) and a whole host of other abbreviations for common functional groups.
