I was in the gulf war.  While we were there, we were given Pyrigistamine 
Bromide tablets.  WE were told these were cholinesterase inhibitors and 
would help to build up a "surplus" of cholinesterase. From what I have 
read the key action of nerve agents in bio/chem warfare is to destroy the 
cholinesterase in the body, in effect crushing the body due to the 
contracting of muscles.
