MadSci Network: Zoology |
There were several good manuals for dissection I remember from my earlier days, which included the grasshopper. I remember one especially- "How to Dissect", which I just found is still available for $12.00! Try Amazon.com., Barnes and Nobel or any other book seller on the web, order it through your local book store or look it up in a local library. References: How to Dissect : Exploring With Probe and Scalpel by William Berman. Paperback (New Edition June 1992) Other, more expensive, books that you may find at a library include Animal Anatomy on File (Facts on File Science Library) The anatomy of the grasshopper (Romalea microptera) by Jack Colvard Jones (out of print)
