Re: What is the evolutionary basis of a state run health care system
I have been thinking about the evolutionary mechanisms which would either
select for a state run health care system which is paid for by equal
taxation like in the UK or to select for a system like that in the US
where it is largely private and health care depends on the ability to pay
of the individual. Has there been any theoretical research on the basis of
these two systems?
I got the reply: Hi - I'm not certain in what sense you're trying to apply
evolution, or
what specific evolutionary concepts you are considering?

I think that I am asking how would evolution force the selection of one
healthcare system over another, or even does evolution have a role. I do
not know of any concepts which consider this, so I would like to know the
current theories on the subject. Are systems like altruism involved?
Thanks
