Hello Nina,
Well here is your answer. Sorry about the delay, I have problems with the
system. Anyway, all ideas in science come from our past. For instance in
physics we can trace it's history back to the anicent Greeks. Archimedes
for example lived during 287 bc to 212 bc, he found the idea of
displacement of water. Without him the world of physics would very
different. Science is a ladder which builds with each rung, without the
lower rungs one cannot progress up. Newton was a great mind as Einstein
was also. Einstein, as with every other scientist, was greatly influanced
by Newton. Einstein used Newton's laws of gravitation to come up with
theories. As the physicists of today are using Einsteins work. Both men
are great scientists in their time frames.
Without them we would not have the technological level we currently have.
Both men, along with many others, have contributed much to the human race.
If you want to find out more about both of the men, your library will have
tons of material on the both of them. Or contact the Society of Physics
Students (www.physics.arizona. edu).

I wish you the best, and have a great Summer.
Chuck J. Schmidt
