I assume you are referring to the most common form of color-blindness, the red-green type. As you may know, this type of color-blindness is sex-linked, so it is much more common in males than it is in females. Among males of European descent about 8% (1/12) are color-blind; this number is 4% (1/25) for males of African descent. Only 0.4% (1/250) of females are colorblind.
