I resubmit this question! In searching the Mad Science archives there are several conflicting answers. The most meaningfull was id 894511435.ph If a hydrogen atom was the size of the superdome, the nucleus would be the size of a marble and the electron the size of a grain of sand the rest is empty space!! Perhaps several of your Mad Scientists could arrive at a common answer. This is a fundamental question not found in the text books.
Re: What is the definition of empty space within the atom and between atoms?
