Hi Amanda,

There are companies that make microwave clothes dryers primarily for use
with delicate clothing. You can find links to information using a www
search engine and the keywords "microwave" and "clothes" (without
quotes.) HOWEVER, you cannot dry clothes that have any metal parts
(zippers, snaps etc.) Also some plastic parts mignt be damaged by the
microwaves.

Theoretically a microwave clothes dryer is a great idea. Microwaves
interact primarily with the water in the clothes. This interaction causes
the "bonds" in the water molecule to vibrate more vigorously. This
generates heat and causes the water to evaporate. However you must be
very careful because once the clothes are dry the microwaves will continue
to heat the clothes and will eventually cause the clothes to burn.
