Well, if you want to see the evolution of the water mass,
I suggest you get a tidal table (US Commerce Dept. should have
one in its page) and plot the values against time. This is
the best way to see it, because by the geometry of the local,
only the actual table can give you good results. The water
movement depends on the geometry of the local (open sea,
beach, stuarine areas, bays, gulfs) and on the place you
are (the tides are dependent on latitude and longitude).
