My wife purchase some circular cake pans. Two pans came in a box. The
smaller cake pan is 11" dia. x 3" deep. The larger cake pan is 15" dia. x
3" deep. The box says to allow 80-85 minutes in the oven to bake a cake
in the 11" pan, but to allow only 75-80 minutes in the 15" pan. Is this a
typo, or is there some kind of scientific reason (that is obscure to me)
that a cake will bake faster in a larger pan?
