On a circular track I have a train with 10,000 cars connected end to end in
a chain all around the track. When the train moves around the track at a
constant speed, I stand near the track and observe that each car is
shorter due to relativistic contraction. The track is not moving, so how
can the cars stay on the track without breaking the chain?
