Subject: Canine fear of thunderstorm and Air Conditioning similarities

My question has to do with what happens with air conditioners.  I am a canine 
behaviorist dealing with all behaviors.  I most recently had a very puzzling 
issue.  I have a dog that is very affraid of thunderstorms, no big deal, very 
common.  This dog is now very afraid when the air conditioner is on, never 
before but they just put in a new air conditioner.  This dog has also been very 
afraid of only one specific radio.  The real puzzler is she has become afraid of 
a man that was just diagnosed with cancer.  I really want to know what is 
similar with Thunderstorms and airconditioners, this is central air not a unit. 
 Hoping you can shine some light on this issue for me.
