Subject: Why is earth's atmosphere tends to be thicker toward the sun, not moon?

Is our atmosphere attracted by gravitational forces, if yes why not by
moon like tides? Or are there some other energy forces coming from sun &
not from moon?
(Eg. trying to understand the gravitaional and assymetrical energies)
