Subject: Why does eucalyptus have antibacterial properties?

I would like to know why eucalyotus has antibacterial properties, as I am 
planning to do an ivestigation about this and need to know a bit about its 
biochemistry. So far all I have found is its uses and information about 
the varoius eucalyptus spp.  I would also appreciate information on 
techniques involving culturing bacteria. Thank-you very much...I think 
this service is fantasic.
