We live in the Shenandoah Valley of VA, west of the Blue Ridge. Recently,
thousands of blackbirds (grackles, cowbirds, redwings) have been migrating
NORTH at dusk. Are they following the river which flows north until it
meets the Potomac and then flows SE, or is there some kind of weird
northward migration going on? Thank you.
