Subject: is it possible to create a magnetic rocket

is it possible to construct a magnetic rocket.
5 super conductors with an electromagnet placed in the center of each disk
these disks placed in a sealed 6 sided metal box, with the coil facing 
inward and one side of the box left open.
sorta like a rocket to make a strong propulsion in one direction.
i am just curious as to weather this is at all posible and to what it 
could be used for.
