I hooked an iginition coil up to a battery and, when I disconnected the two, I
got a spark about a half an inch in length. This worked as it should but I am
confused about how it works. I only get a spark when I break the connection
between the ignition coil and the power source. I would appreciate any
information on why this occurs.
