We have 5 samples of five foods set aside (cheddar cheese, cantaloupe, orange slices, halved strawberries, and yes, cubes of bread) withour any treatment to use as a control sample. 4 other samples of each of the foods are what we will be observing to tie in the idea of how scientists/doctors "control" the spread/progress of cancer. These four samples were all treated with five drops of the fungu penicillium (diluted in sterilized water), and THEN: One sample also treated with two drops of water, Another " " " " " peroxide " " " " " " antibacterial soap We are observing the growth of the fungus for four weeks. I guess the idea is that, in the case of the peroxide and anti-bacterial soap, for instance, if the growth is slower, then we could tie in how certain cancer treatements also retard the growth of cancer in the body. At least that is the line of thought we are considering at the moment. Thanks for any other "expansion" ideas you may be able to provide! Sincerely, MARY KINAHAN-OCKAY
