For example, a protein contains hundreds of amino acids so when a
bacterium consumes it does it metabolize all those amino acids at once or
does it just deal with one at a time? Also can bacteria store amino acids
in their glycocalyx? Nothing I've been able to read has been specific
enough to answer my questions. Please help. Thanks.
