Ann,

After much searching on both NASA and CSA websites both public and
internal, I can find only one reference for a weight spec for the SSRMS.
The URL (which may be the longest I've ever seen) is below. It seems that
the SSRMS will be a part of the overall Canadian Mobile Service Module
(MSM) that will be able to slide up and down the station on the truss
segments and perform maintenance and assembly tasks later in the mission.
The total MSM will also include (eventually) another pair of Canadian
robotic arms with sufficient dexterity to complete tasks that previously
required a spacewalk. In case the url fails, the spec quoted for the total
MSM is a 125 ton (US) payload capability. Terribly sorry I couldn't do any
better than this; it's a very good question.
