I recently heard the percentage of atmospheric oxygen (O2) has decreased
significantly between when it was first measured and the present,
presumably
due to human activity (burning fossil fuels, clearcutting of forests,
reduction of oceanic oxygen-producers, etc.)

Since I am currently studying the Lovelock & Margulis Gaia Hypothesis, I'm
wondering if this claim about O2 reduction is true. Can you shed any light
on the matter?

Respectfully,
