I feel concerned when I see the black smoke from diesel engines in road
vehicles, and I wonder what became of the "debris" from the deliberately
set fires during "Desert Storm" Do the particles fall to the ground? Can
our atmosphere "clean" itself? What happens to all the insults we fling
at our atmosphere?
