Respected Sir/Madam
 I had read that spring constant i.e., k  depends on extention produced. 
F=Kx, where F=force, x=change in length, K=sring constant. So why K is 
doubled if we cut the spring into two half. x doesnot altered in this case 
because it the length changed from its mean position.
