Cloning does not necessarily reduce the cost of agriculture. The attempt to 
create unique organisms that do what we want them to do can actually cause 
big problems and costs that we don't understand. 
Check out Corn Blight in 1970 if you want a classic example.
These cloned organisms are touted by AgriBusiness in order to increase 
Agribusiness profits but much more research needs to be done to understand 
sustainable agriculture and how farmers can survive these costs.
