Hope I spelled it correctly.  My son was born with an imperforated anus.  
All he had was a dimple mark where the anus should have been.  They gave 
him a colostomy and at 10 months were able to reverse it.  The doctor told 
me that the intenstines just didn't develop enough to connect to 
everything else.  Can you shed a little more light?
