question - thanks Phyllis!.

Nicotine administered directly drops skin temperature up to 2.3 C degrees.  A 
reference for that is figure 4 of Jones et al available online at

You could go look for what nicotine levels are associated with smoking; blood 
nicotine levels hover about 0.5 nM in heavy smokers.
