Claire: The short answer to your question is NO. Shaving doesn't destroy
any tissue and doesn't make the hair more coarse, thicker, grow faster or
anything. All it does is remove the hair. The hair under our arms is a
different type of hair than that on our heads. It's growth cycle is
different also but again, shaving it does no harm. The skin just below the
hair is dead so it'r removal with the hair is of no concern as it is
constantly being replaced normally. J. Bridger
