IN THE LAST CHAPTER OF HIS BOOK, "THE MAN WHO MISTOOK HIS WIFE FOR A HAT"
DR. SACKS RELATES THE STORY OF TWIN SAVANTS' (THE MODEL FOR "RAINMAN"
MOVIE) ABILITY TO CALCULATE SIX DIGIT PRIME NUMBERS, A REMARKABLE FEAT
EVEN FOR A COMPUTER. IN ADDITION, DR. SACKS DROPPED A BOX OF MATCHES.
THE TWINS LOOKED DOWN, TURNED TO ONE ANOTHER AND SAID "111....37,37,37"
(PRIME FACTORS) THEY DID NOT, NOR COULD NOT COUNT THE TOTAL. HOW DID THEY
KNOW THE VALUE?
