MadSci Network: Evolution |
I have read that random genetic mutation keeps replenishing the gene pool so as to cope with constant change in environment. Lifeforms are so well adapted to environment that is it possible that DNA is subtly changed throughout life to accomodate this and pass it on in reproduction, whilst a persons cellular DNA is apparently fixed for life, what if the DNA coding in a males sperm are subtly changed throughout life according to environmental change - climate, diet, etc. I am asking this because current theories of evolution do not seem to totally explain life being so adaptable.
