Subject: Visual and Auditory Input and Learning

I am in the process of helping my 7th grade daughter with her science fair 
project. We are going to demonstrate how people follow a set of 
instrcustions, some reading, some hearing and some reading & hearing the 
instructions.  We need scientific information for support.  What topic, 
key words, or subject areas should we search? Can you provide a brief 
description of how the brain receives and processes information auditory 
and visual information as it relates to learning?
