Would it go all the way? Assume 4100 ft./sec for the muzzle velocity of the bullet and Jupiter is directly "above" your location on Io. You aim directly at the center of Jupiter. Would the bullet spiral inward to the cloud tops or fall back to the Io surface? How far above Io is the point of equal gravitational attraction between the two bodies? What is the value of "G" in the equation S=1/2 G T(squared) for Io and Jupiter?
Re: How high would a bullet go if fired from Io directly at Jupiter?
