I am doing an experiment dealing with the growth of rust on nails and whether a strong bactericide could be a factor that prevents this growth. So, I have two variable groups: one jar containing a powerful bactericide that might prevent the growth of rust on the nails, and one containing some natural baceria, such as dirt from the backyard, that would enhance the chance of bacteria growth. So basically, I am just looking for some examples of some bactericides that might be able to prevent the growth of rust on nails. Also, I am not looking for any deadly bactericides that could kill anything it comes in contact with, just some strong ones that could prevent rust from growing.
