I have been a Paramedic for ten years and have always wanted to know the
answer to this question. I have asked many physicians and other health
care professionals and have yet to come with an answer. Diaphoresis is a
sign of shock in the hemodynamically unstable patient, but what
physiological mechanism is going on to cause diaphoresis?
